Cool I dooooo know my History!!!

Ermmmmm Emperor Constantine, made it the State Religion.... & before then I can quess individuals suffered 4 being a follower of "The Fisherman"...but as an Entity...it had great influnce since its "Creation".... Since then, it went hand in hand with whatever King, Queen,or other form of Established Government was in Power.....2 rule over the Masses.Look we can discuss Religion till the "cows come home" but for me, the last 1 is in the "Barn".Live Long & Prosper, & May G-d go with U!

I don't deny that unscrupulous leaders have used Christianity as a means to exploit their population. The same could be said of pretty much any religion. However, Christianity had existed for a long time before Constantine made it the state religion of Rome. Followers of Jesus were first called Christians at Antioch a few years after the crucifixion. Within a few decades they had developed a theology distinctive from normative Judaism.
