Allmighty God said in qoran:

27. Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our apostles: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah. but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.

look in the verse what God said about you christians: "But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them" there is many thing that you christians do that God did not commanded you to do, easter, among other things.

"If you limit yourself to doing only what the founding father of your religion explicitly commanded, you can't do much of anything"

man you can not change religion or faith as you wish, we muslims can not change islam as we wish like you christians whit christianty ,we can do anything that is allowed. The real problem is that you change religion/christianity as you wish.

Christians can't change any of the original teachings of our religion, we can only build on them.

"The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later." (Mark 9:31)

EXAMPLES

Eyewitness: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched -- this we proclaim concerning the Word of life" (1 John 1:1).

This same eyewitness wrote the Gospel of John where the death and resurrection of Jesus is given sufficient details.
For his faith, he suffered persecutions.

I'd rather believe such eyewitnesses than skeptics trying to contradict them.

Peter, speaking for the disciples said: "We were eyewitnesses of his [Jesus'] majesty" (2 Peter 1:16). And he died for what he believed.

Mark, who wrote the Gospel of Mark, confirmed all his materials with Peter.

Paul, though not a direct eyewitness, says that as of his writing to the Corinthians there were more than 500 eyewitnesses of the resurrection of Jesus who were still alive. (1 Corinthians 15:3-8).

Solemnly, anyone who denies the death and resurrection of Jesus is bound for hell (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; Revelation 20:15; 21:27).

I can talk about sports, science, art, literature, etc. without a Bible in my hand. But it's impossible to talk about the death and Resurrection of Jesus without it, as it is the only historical document with any bearing on the subject (with the exception of perhaps Josephus and the Talmud).
