"The World-Famous Bunny Ranch" is showing their patriotism by giving free SEX to servicemen that have served recently in the war on Iraq. They are, futhermore, offering 50% off of their regular fee for all other military personnel.
The owner of The Bunny Ranch says that around a hundred or so servicemen have taken advantage of the offer so far. Ranch employee "Air Force Annie" says, it's the least she could do to show her..."appreciation". According to one "happy" customer this is a great idea...and widely appreciated by his fellow soliders. "Who wouldn't die for the chance to have sex with a XXX porn star?" he asks. I say...that's certainly up for debate. |

Clash,
Maybe it's a guy thing 'cause I definitely don't understand it. Why would someone want to have sex with a person that they have no emotional connection to? That's just like inserting yourself into some random hole. Not to mention that you don't exactly know where that person has been. And man, you didn't see this "Air Force Annie"...she looked like a woman-shaped piece of leather! She may have been a XXX porn star, but that had to be a LONG time ago! Ew...I just don't get it... |

Well, spitfire, looks like you understand it just fine. Remember that prostitution is not solely an exercise connected with this story. If many men were not prepared to participate, then this would not be a viable occupation ("viable" in the sense of providing sufficient income). This is a cynical piece of publicity-grubbing, by an exploitative, sordid enterprise. It's of a piece, therefore, with the conduct of this whole "war". I don't think we should criticise the "Bunny Farm" too harshly for their actions - they were only following the Government's lead after all (take your pick of the Governments - US or British - could be either one) |

Have to agree with you also Spitfire. But... prostitution is a fact of life and there may be many many sad men who would be looking in the public domain to get there rocks off.
Aye it's sordid Scabby but it's big business now in most countries and although men like you and me wouldn't be seen dead anywhere near places like that there are an awful lot of reasonable and intelligent folk who vote for legalised prostitution just to keep it off the streets. And in that way I agree with it. Having said that I find the idea of advertising 50% off sex hilarious. Did they have to bring vouchers cut from the local paper? Or keep their uniforms on? Were they supposed to bring their identity cards along with them to prove they are legally in the forces? Could their friends and uncles borrow their identity cards? Would they then be kicked out of the force for cheating? |

The funny thing is that these people from this ranch think their 50% off offer is perfectly normal. It astounds me that they live such a creative lifestyle that it doesn't sound even a little tacky to them.
I don't know what their admission policy is pertaining to how they verify that someone is in the military. They probably don't care too much... But everyone's got to hurry because it only lasts for 80 days. Then there are the playboy playmates that are sending autographed photos to soldiers in Iraq. I bet there are a lot of military wives that don't appreciate the gesture. What I don't understand is why some men...take Hugh Grant, for example, are motivated to go to a prostitute. I mean, Hugh Grant is hot..he's got great hair and that adorable accent, and he always seems a little befuddled...it's really quite cute. Okay, I'm rambling. Anyway, the guy's not only good-looking, but he was dating Elizabeth Hurley at the time. I may be a girl, but I can tell when another girl is hot and she's hot! Now your run-of-the-mill losers...I could understand their attraction to prostitutes, but some people... You know, people are getting weird these days. A lady called in to the "Dr. Phil" show today because she has a spanking fetish. She said, "If you really wanna make me weak in the knees just say, 'You're in BIG trouble young lady!'." Yeah, okay, she's an adult so she can do whatever she wants...but WHY call a TV show. Well, that was my big rant for the day. I feel much better now. |

I'm for legalized prostitution, even though i'm not for prostitution. The prostitution scene is just so sad.
On the one side you have the prostitutes... some started as children... some were runaways and needed food... some were sold into slavery... some were pimped by their own family... many women got into it because they were drug addicts or alcoholic... sometimes someone got them addicted on purpose... some were sexually molested as children or raped and were drawn to sex either because they felt nothing anymore and thought it was an easy way to make money or sometimes because they were compulsively trying to relieve the tension from their traumatic experience. Some just liked sex, and without getting into your picturesque prostitution scene, they might be more like a college student making a little on the side from their classmates. And some are women in hard times... sometimes they even got into it because they had no other way to feed their children. But in any event, whether they enjoy it or not, you're talking about women with lowered self esteem, and women who are often in danger from disease and abuse. What really bugs me is when prostitution is called "the victimless crime." I think it is a mistake to hastily judge prostitutes. As they say... until you walk a mile in their shoes... As for the men i don't really have a clue so i'm not really inclined to judge. All i know is that i find Hugh Grant distasteful and i try to avoid his movies... not so much because he went to a prostitute but that he was so unashamed of it and milked the publicity to boost his career which was really nowhere until that scandal. Now i dislike seeing his smug face. |
