Hi Spitfire,

I was reading in another thread in another section, and saw you are on the receiving end of some personal criticism for your trying to help a situation resolve amicably. I think you know the one i'm talking about.

I just wanted to say, i feel the criticism directed towards you was rude and unfounded. I would have posted there but, as you know, that's met with animosity and i don't think anything could be said in that string to make things better, and certainly not calling that person on their crap as they can't see, they just need to be left alone. The person concerned is clearly in a fighting mode right now and looking for targets out of almost anyone.

I really appreciate your positiveness on the board, and friendliness. And i disagree with the comments i read in the other post about you... i think you are very mature, and you are certainly better able to see the consequences of what you say than your accuser is able to see hers at this time.

I'm not sure what we can do about the grouchiness on the board right now, other than to post as much interesting stuff as possible and let the testy people work out their issues for themselves, alone! A good parenting trick is to starve bad behavior of more attention than is absolutely necessary, and reward better behavior with attention. I don't mean to patronize anyone and describe their behavior as childish, but, ...erh... well... *cough!*... LOL!

I too would like to post in support of those being both blamed and attacked for an every increasingly blurry issue. I appreciate this board for the variety of both topics and personalities it offers. Lets not allow a few to ruin it for everybody. Cheers.......AngMc

HollyElise,

Thank you so much. I really appreciate how welcome you've made me feel since I've been here at Scotland.com.

What's going on in the other forum is really a big misunderstanding. I made a joke in my reply to one of Ulrikke's posts and she was very angry about it. I apologized and felt really bad for upsetting her until she didn't let it go. Then I sunk to her level and snapped at her.

Your advice to leave her alone was good advice...except that I just posted a HUGE reponse to the last thing she said. Well, that will be the last...I'm really just worn out from the grouchiness.

And thanks to you too AngMc. You two are angels.

Spitfire, holly, angmc..

thanks for your contributions (to that other thread...). It may be worth mentioning that both Clash and myself are veterans of many a rammy, and absolutely nothing that has occurred so far has upset either him or me.. And furthermore Clash is even more of a mixer than I am (see recent threads). Oh, and despite assertions to the contrary, I didn't invite anyone else to get involved (in that other thread you were discussing)!

But please don't think that I am telling anyone to "butt out" - I wouldn't dare to presume.... I'm not returning to that thread anyway...

Cheers

I do so hate explainin myself.
See, the hing is, Nonny. I feel as if ah should be talkin Scots tae ye, but the rest ah this keech hus been conductit in whit passes fur no bad English.

Anyway, I wasn't talking about your own contrbution, but about that Antipodean food processor, who suggested that I had enlisted him to rouse the opposition. As if he ever needed an excuse for a stramash.
