I'm constantly having really crazy dreams.
I have this reoccuring dream that all my teeth are falling out. Weird, 'cause I'm only 19 with perfectly fine teeth. Did anyone see the movie "The Ring"? You know where Naomi Watts' character "Rachael" starts coughing and then pulls that electric shock thing out of her throat? Well, that FREAKED me out because I'd had that SAME dream several times...except I was pulling some unknown thing out of my throat instead of an electric shock thingy. A few nights ago I had this dream where I worked at a mortuary and I was sewing eyelids shut. It was really strange because of how "real" it felt...meaning, the resistance of the skin to the sewing needle, etc. It was REALLY gross. And the funny thing is that these dreams are great compared to the ones I used to have when I was younger. I would wake up in the middle of the night crying several times a week. And because I've had all these really yucky dreams I've become pretty desensitized to gross "scary" things in movies, on TV, etc. Does anyone else have freaky dreams? |

Losing teeth is actually in the top five most common dreams all people have. It represents anxiety.
The other four are (hope i can remember them), Not being able to scream or talk Flying Falling Naked in public ... Note that 4 of the 5 most common dreams people have are unpleasant, the fifth is flying. |

I´m lucky for I never have nightmares or unpleasant dreams. My dreams are usually strange, funny or just pleasant.
There should be many books regarding dreams. Maybe you should have a look in them. You´ll probably find out that your dreams have a deeper meaning than you think now and then you could do something about it..

So what's up with being naked in public?
![]() I've never had very vivid or realistic dreams, and when I dream at all, I can usually only ever remember snippets of the dream. The only one I can remember a significant amount of went something like this. I was in a large park, which was slightely concaved like a bowl, and there were thousands of people packed around the outside looking down onto the middle of the bowl. I was stood amongst everyone else with a large spoon in my hand and a bottle of water. I kept on trying to fill the spoon with water, but the water would just trickle through large holes which I hadn't noticed in the spoon. Slowly everyone around me began to notice what I was doing, and they all began to laugh. I laughed along with them and didn't feel embarrased at all. It was like what I was doing wasn't stupid, it was just entertaining. I don't get it. But I don't think I want to either. |

HollyElise...I often have dreams where I'm flying, but even those are unpleasant!
I'm usually in a department store when I start to lift off the ground...so there I am floating when I start to get the hang of it. I'm flying and having a great time until I realize I can't control where I'm going. I always end up crashing into some huge display and making a BIG fool of myself. So I guess I regularly dream 2 out of the 5 most common dreams that people have. anneli...you're lucky that you have only pleasant dreams. Freaky dreams are, well,...freaky. But I've noticed that they provide great ideas for my writing. Sharp_Kid...lol that's a funny dream. Sometimes I have meaningless little dreams. Last night I dreamt that I could wash dishes without even getting my hands wet...I'd do a little gesture and the dishes would wash THEMSELVES! They'd rinse themselves, load themselves into the dishwasher, and with another little gesture they would put themselves away. It was awesome. But there's no big mystery about why I had THIS dream...I did dishes before I went to bed. |

I have been trying not to remember my dreams lately, but at other times i've not only tried to remember my dreams, i've painted them!
Long ago i kept a dream log, but i would write for HOURS and still not capture it all! Then when i was in art school and just after i was trying to break through a certain painting hang up i felt i had and decided the way to do it was to try to use my unconscious more (it worked) so i started painting my dreams. The first one is titled, "Eating bees in chocolate sauce." How much we remember our dreams often has much to do with practicing remembering them. If you can't remember your dreams and you just start writing how you feel upon awakening every morning, eventually you will start to remember more. |

I agree with you, Holly. If you just stay in bed for a few minutes after waking up and try to remember your dreams you´ll remember more.
I still remember some dreams I had as a child very vividly because I thought about them a lot, wrote them down and also told them to a lot of people. I mostly remember my dreams and I´m really glad about that. It´s really interesting and funny sometimes...
