With a body like Arnold Schwarznegger and the face of an angel, the CHARTREUX is a walking contradiction of physical traits. A stout, muscular physique--- always covered in blue-gray fur---contrasts sharply with this cat's soft, chirping meow; smiling face; and big, round, copper-colored eyes. A sweet, mellow, and affectionate disposition further counters the beefy exterior. Known for intense devotion, the chartreux will stick by your side. He can learn to play fetch and will be mesmerized by TV. This breed has been around a really long time. Legend has it that the Carthusian monks of France first brought these sweeties to Europe during the Crusades.
