Angry Sick Kitty Cat

Hi I was wondering if any of you guys or gals could give me some advice. I think my cat is a little ill. he has been very lazy the past few days, just lying down most of the day. He has lost lots of weight, although he is still eating and drinking but not a lot. What can it be? He also just sits and stares the whole time. Please any info will be helpfull.

Poor Kitty

Hi.....
Being a cat lover, I am concerned that your kitty is not well......
I have to agree, that the best thing would be to take him/her to the vet as soon as possible....
Is he/she vaccinated against cat flu etc????....I do hope so...at least, then you can discount those diseases that cats are prone to get...
It might be something 'easily fixed'....but the only way to find out is to take him/her to the vet ASAP....

Let us know how you get on plz

Karen

If he has lost a lot of weight then whatever is ailing him must have been around for far longer than just his few days of inactivity. So the vet suggestion seems like something you should do urgently.

You definately need to get your cat to the vets !!

I have no idea where you live but if in the UK and do not have enough for vets fees go along to your
local RSPCA or simaliar organisation, as far as I know they will never turn a sick pet away !!

My cat as you have probably read about is over 20 and she lost weight etc and my vet has said
it's just old age catching up with her and nothing can be done because its natural for these ailments to appear.

I really do hope that you can get your cat 'sorted' and quickly !!

The sitting very still & not eating sounds not unlike a cat that has taken a blow/been clippped by a car. The tips of the claws are a good way to tell - If it is the car, they might be frayed as a reflex action causes them to try & dig into the tarmac.

Whatever, it needs a vet by the sound of it.
