Question Sick Kitty

It's been some time since you wrote, and I hope your kitty is feeling better. I know how heart breaking it can be to watch a beloved pet grow sicker and not have the resources to bring him/her to the vet. I lost a very beloved kitty to aids some time back. I didn't even know that cats could get aids but they can. Although my vet told me that nothing could have saved him, I still lovingly pampered him until we had to put him down. Now I'm being told that when you get a kitten they should be tested for FIV. It seems that the HIV virus can mutate and infect a cat, but a human can't get the virus from a cat. Now I'm having a problem with my little pug. She has blood in her urine. We love her so much along with her son and my two kittys. It may sound strange but I always felt that there is an afterlife for animals. Somewhere in the Old Testament it speaks of animals being in heaven. The lion lying down with the lamb. When I loose a pet it's like I have lost a member of my family. I have two adult sons, one lives here in the same house my other is a good five hundred miles away. My son who lives with me is close to me and we both consider the pets as our family, my younger son doesn't just live far away but is like a stranger. I don't really know him, while my older son who lives here and our pet family are all one big family.
