Well the day finally arrived that I said bye to Dribz.....we had her put to sleep
yesterday afternoon.

Over the last week she was getting worse and I made the decision that we
couldn't let her go on this way so with a heavy heart but one full of very
good memories.

I made the appointment to release her from suffering !!

Heartbreaking it was but in a way I knew I was doing the right thing for her !!

Shes had over 20 years of pampering and I suppose it was that, that has let her
be with us so long !!

The memories will always be with me and I will in time be getting another cat !!

I am looking at it this way....she came, gave joy and also worries but thats
okay, I am wondering now who I can tell my secrets to as she was such a
good listener !!

We buried her lastnight and today I am going looking for a Peace Rose for her
resting place !!

Babz

I am sorry for your wee ones loss but you seem to know that you've done the right thing for her... It is good to have such wonderful memories..

Babz, I'm very sorry to read that Dribz has finally gone. I've no doubt you made her last years very comfortable for her.

I have six cats myself, the eldest being 17 yrs old and I know it'll be devastating when he finally goes, but knowing when to call the vet is the greatest responsibility we have towards our pets.

Thanks for the comments !!

I didn't get a Peace Rose but this weekend Jim and I are off to look round the
local garden centres so I will hopefully find one or something close to it !!

I still look for Dribz which is to be expected, I have taken to getting up early as
I used to make a cuppa first thing and we would both go back to bed to watch tv
for an hour !!

I am getting my housework in record time....lololol

Not getting a kitten Teashoci when I get another cat, will be going to a rescue centre
for an older cat !!
