Thought it was time I said a little more.............

Dribz is about the same, she has good and bad days just like us human's !!

Today she decided to get her claws stuck in the cover I have on the sofa and ended up upside down
clinging on for dear life, she looked so funny but I bet it was a shock for her !!

Forgot to tell you that she is now deaf and we have to approach her so she can see us...Jim
often forgets and makes her jump !!

If she's drinking a lot of water & eating less, have you tried her on that low-lactose "cat milk" they sell in pet shops & stores.

My last cat lived to @18years & when he began to fail, became pretty dependant on that milk for much of his food. He was able to cope with it much better than solids, although he still ate a little. He was also less prone to sickness etc on it.

That sounds like a good idea, Pogofish. I got some of that cat milk for my own cat once, just on a whim, not for a health reason, and she seemed to adore it.

Tee hee hee, it occurs to me that **of course* anyone whose name involves "...fish" is going to have some interest in ensuring that cats are all well-nourished and not hungry. Not hungry enough to endanger wee fishes, anyway.

Sorry , Babz - I know it's not funny about Dribz, but I figure you know me well enough to know I mean no harm. I'm joking at the expense of poor Pogofish, really. But how is Dribz now? I meant to contact you on Saturday to ask, but I had to abandon my own moggy and go to visit my parents. Back home this evening now, and the CelynCat is very pleased.

Yes, they do. An older cat gets a greater benifit tho. Not always the expensive stuff either, the cheaper own-brands seem to down just as well. Another thing my vet suggested was that I should mix a half-teaspoon of sugar into each bowl & once a day, a small pinch of salt in with it, as even with a liquid diet, an elderly/unwell cat can often get dehydrated. The sugar & salt helps prevent this & even though they can't taste it, the sugar gives them a welcome bit of extra energy.

Oh yes, I like fish well enough but preferably not so small & on the end of a tight flyline! I often have to fight the cats off my catch when I get home as they are trying to get in the sink before I've finished gutting. The day after a meal of fresh fish sees them bouncing about like kittens again!

Here they are, Whiskers & Babes. Two rescue cats who were kept indoors & absolutely emaciated/terrified of people when I got them. Now they have their own outdoor territory with lots of stimulation, hunting, other cats to battle & are well socialised & even spoiled! Whiskers is a bit of a big coward tho, despite being the strongest cat I've ever known.

Hope Dribz is much better soon too.

Babz - just looking for a quick update on Dribz. I hope she is feeling better.

Pogofish - I loved the pics. question what was the rings of fire with people walking around them?

Celyn - you had me cracking up with the coment on the fish. I have to say I never would have thought to look at it that way.

Ok just wanted to stop and see how things were.
