OK, I'm breaking the Dog threads on here and moving on to ferrets.

What's the law for ferret ownership in Scotland? Are they as popular there as they are here in the USA?

I have been in Aberdeen 2 years now and know no-one who has one !!

They used to be popular in Yorkshire in England many years ago, one of my
brothers-in-laws used to have one till his mum told him 'get rid of
that vermin'...lol

Well, contrary to popular belief, ferrets aren't rodents, they're weasels - Mustelids, to be exact. They've been around since ancient Egypt (perhaps earlier still), and it was even one of Queen Elizabeth I's fave pets!

It's just another animal that has received a bad rep through the ages, and is never fully understood and/or loved until the person gets first-hand experience of being around the fuzzballs.

I knew someone who had one...Owner was a rad skateboard dude...(ha, this was ten years ago)...so he wore baggy clothes with pockets all over that it would hide in...it was REALLY funny!
