Having read the thread so politly worded, I would like a few questions answered but do not want a mass of c**p attached to that thread.

1) If you accept that a animal testing needs to be carried out to save human lives, then what about bio-weapons, projectile weapon design, perfume, washing powder, plastic surgery to name but a few. I would like to know how these save human lives.

2) In a large number of cases the research using animals is because of the cost saving, compared to alternatives. Even when the alternative gives more accurate results. How can the use of animals be justified because cost over any lose of life seams strange?

3) The main part of the thread seamed to be about cancer research. Since there are a large number of humans already infected and about to die of cancer (some caused by themselves) already why not use them and save the animals. Seams strange to infect a perfectly healthy animal when humans who are already infected could be used.

Those are the 3 main points but there are a lot more. Before anyone starts about me being a member of an animal rights group....I AM NOT. I just love animals and would like to know why they need to die for no apparent reason.

Because humans are sick ****s!! We **** up this world, ourselves, but it can't be our fault, can it? So apparantly something else must suffer. People are sick, or atlest they will be eventually, so why should we torture animals to save ourselves? Because we can! Human testing is considered cruel, but who cares about animal testing as long as it's for our benefit?

There are things that don't have to be well thought out, or worded well to make sense.

I am interested in answers to the 3 points, I did not ask about the mind set of the human race but if I do want that I'll get back to you.
