Of course not, Zwilnik. Because if we find valid reasons against animal testings we'd have to question a lot of other things where we downgrade animals as well, like unsub posted food and clothes. There is no valid reason for this either. If we rank animals and humans equal we all have to become vegans.

As much as I am an animal lover....we are not equals...I have pets..but they are not my equal...my argument for animal rights is not based upon equality..only morality and how easily we exploit

I'm not denying that a lot of animals are killed for the wrong reasons.

But you can't compare animal kingdom with our "civilized" (what ever that means) world. It's true, animals kill to survive - that's natural. We go to the next store and buy food - that's not really natural. The meat we can buy there is from animals kept in tiny places and are stuffed with a lot of arteficial food to gain a lot of weight. So, that's sick as well.

It is one thing to eat animals for food, since we are canavors but to kill them when there are alternative seams pointless. It does not make it right either that "its the law", sounds the same as "I was only following orders"

Are there alternatives for animals as well? My dog will eat a steak, but won't go near fruit or veggies. You can't force an animal to be a vegan.

I agree, to many excuses for many things fall under this category.
