[i]Well I am now certified to perform CPR on People, children and yes.. our wee friends!.. lol.. Not that you actually get certified for that.. but they tell you how to do it anyway ..lol.. just in case..
![]() It is pretty much the same as humans.. but I will do my best to explain it here But please ask me any questions you might have.If (God forbid) anything happens.. you are to assess the wee mite to see if they are breathing.. Finding a pulse is a little more harder, then finding one on a human, but feel about in the normal spots.. If you have to do CRP, you want to make sure it's necessary and that the wee thing is not breathing, because you don't want to startle the animal and get your NOSE bit off... lol Lay the Dog or Kitty on it's side.. Take one of their front legs and bend it where the elbow bone is sticking out.. placing it flat against the side of the animals’ body. "SO figure, your arm is totally flat and straight against your body, then you bend it, just at the elbow, where it’s now shaped like a "L".. At the point on the animals body, right where the elbow bone is bent, that is were you would want to pump on the animal. You will feel the chest bones there.. As in humans we pump on the chest in the front of the body, but with an animal we pump on the sides, and that could be either side. If you’re a man with bigger hands, depending on the size of the animal.. either use two hands to pump or use just three or four finders from both hands if it's a smaller animal. First rule of thumb is.. "Two Breaths" then 15 pumps to the chest. So...... in order to administrator the Breaths.. make a circle around the animals’ snout.. or at best hold the animals mouth completely closed and breathe into the animals’ nose. Even if a human is hurt to the point where CRP Breaths cannot be administered to the mouth, they tell you to hold the mouth closed and breathe thru the nose, so this works! ![]() ermm.. Please ask me any questions, if something is not clear.. It's easier to answer questions, then it is to type it all from memory with out skipping about! Oh also, they tell you in training that if you want to tell if good CPR was administratored, there will always be broken bones in the ribs. OMG that part did freak me out, but they do say that a good checst pump will break bones... so I would image the same would go for the animals.. but how cares as long as you save their life. Bones heal. ![]() |

Your a silly Ninny.. ![]() Actually a "Defib" machine that is used on people (taught to me) was with tabs that stick to the chest and you must shave the person before applying them.. lol.. (that is if the dude or women to be fair) lol.. looks like king kong.. lmao.. But sadly to say, No.. there is no Defib machine for wee ones.. so hopefully the CPR is good enough and works.. ![]() |

[i]I hope so too..
But I'm sure... like I was told.. under pressure, pleople can do amazing things.. and it just comes to you.. I'm not sure how I would react if it was a person, or even a wee kitty or dog.. but I would hope that I take control of the situtation.. And It's a bit easier to remember when showed to you in person.. ![]() |
