[i]lol..

Here we go again..

Hello Druid1616...

I would image that your question here is a bit hard to answer.. as buying a horse depends on all things.. being breed, age, where you are in Scotland as well I am sure would matter...

Perhaps. the best thing for you to do, is to wait untill you move there.. before inquiring about the price of a horse.. I am sure even with each passing year.. the price is gonna be different..

Well, why not go to your nearest stable.

Ask the proprietor there how much the average large animal vet bill is, what routine vet care the horse will need, what the feed costs, what shodding costs, what the tack costs, etc, etc.

And I am assuming you are boarding this animal on your own land. If so, build a good shelter.

Bottom line: Horses are expensive.

Yup..

Very Expensive

Exactly.

Horses are a tool, unless you own a jumper or a racehorse.

And they spook very easily.

Frankly, I'd own one if my lifestyle was different because there's nothing like a long, quiet ride in the woods. But you can't hold them in your lap and I've never heard of a "watch horse."
