Can anyone help me with this? I got my cat ("tinker") neutered. The vet noticed symptons of tapeworms, so I gave him the first of two pills to treat that, plus he got a flea treatment. Now, at night, he HOWLS REALLY REALLY loudly (He's never done this), and he has stopped eating. This cat just will not eat, and I'm scared...has anyone had experience with this?

Sounds like you could have a bunged up cat. maybe a little laxative will do the trick.

It's best to ask a vet.It can be from an allergic reaction to the medications. It can also be urinary blockage but thats more common in older cats. When my cat experienced that he also quit eating and drinking and would howl. One way to avoid that is not to feed cats any food with fish or fish biproducts as that can cause the crystals that create blockages.

Thank Ya'll for answering me!! I DID take my cat to the vet's...he'd gotten a little dehydrated, so the vet gave himfluids with an IV, and I bought some expensive food that, of course, he loves...he'll no longer eat the other food. At this point, my cat eats batter than I do!! LOL He really does...but, at least, he's eating.

Oh, yes, so am I!! He's now back to playing his "games",
and that's reassuring. He's also eating again---little does he know that I've GOT to give him another dose of thet medicine...
