I thought my friend in England was joking when he told me today that he was going to "hoover the pusses" on Saturday. This created the most hilarious visual!

I thought he was joking, but in his family, they really do vacuum the cats. Apparently some love it, some don't.

So, is this a "Brit thing?"

A Brit thing?

No, I once saw an attachment for a vacuum that was designed for cats. It was in one of those cheapy mail order catalogs, I laughed myself sick over it!

Every cat I have ever owned has been so terrified of the noise that they would have cheerfully ripped my arm off to get away from it! I hope your friend survives!!!!!

I have an entirely self-cleaning cat.

LOL, Gwap. The Celyncat is also self-cleaning, and even helpfully volunteers to clean up other things, like Celyn's glass of water/milk, Celyn's soup, Celyn's half-eaten tuna sandwiches.....

Now if only it would clean up its own hairballs.

My mother had a cat who ate the leftovers. But she cooks spicy and the food was giving him indigestion so she switched to Nine Lives. He didn't like it as much, but he stopped burping.

LOL! A burping cat! Poor kitty! I have never heard a cat burp!

Has anyone used one of those grooming gloves made for removing shedding cat hair?

The grooming gloves work really well. My cats love them.
