Swings and roundabouts, they dont compare,
escalators instead of stairs,
walls in-place of windows
halls with no doors.

Catflaps are the only true source of freedom,
Three floors up and living a hollow kingdom,
Stair after stair, with walls so bear,
railings no balconies, broke,
looking for a sense of alchemy before I choke.

Out you go, In you come,
this life I am told can be so much fun.
Swings and roundabouts both go, yet come back
just like a catflap.
