Out you go, In you come,
this life I am told can be so much fun.
Swings and roundabouts both go, yet come back

hmmm...well cats are kool.. and flaps are even better... I am just not sure still as to why they are together

[i]lmao...

Ok.. so here we are with the Pets.. lol..

I don't have a "CatFlap" for my girls.. lol.. Thank the gods.. lol.. I would be too afraid that they wouldnt come home.. lol..

I've seen them used actually, and they are very funny looking.. lol.. I've seen smaller ones for the wee things.. and larger ones.. that I would image would be used for Dogs.. It just flaps in the wind... letting your pet roam about as they wish..

Funny thing.. I never had that much freedom as a youngster.. lol..

So anyone here with wee kitties have a CatFlap? lol..

I dont have one no...But my cat is an indoor cat...my little sister has a catflap though...

A few weeks ago I was staying over-night at hers and they(her&husband) went to bed..I was sleeping on thier couch so I was just lying watching the TV when I heard the catflap swoosh...I couple of minutes later I looked over to say hi to Rusty whom had just watked into the living room... but it wasnt him... it was one of the other local cats.. she is a nice cat beautiful Markings..she is called Panda..and she has Identical markings to one.. she had just come in for a wee visit..and as it would seem to eat all of Rusty's food..lol.. but for all we know Rusty does that at her house..lol

You can now get cat flaps that electronically seal themselves.. but your cat wears a collar with the "Electronic Key" on it...works like a scanner..so it will only open for him.. its a bit more expensive but at least you dont end up with Panda's trooping through your house...

I've never heard of this.. lol.. I don't use them so why would I.. lol.. anyway this sounds like a good Idea.. but then what if kitty gets into a fight..and looses his/her "Electronic Key"? Poor Mite will not be happy with that.. lol.. or What if the Door closes when Kitty is walking thru.. lmao.. and gets caught?

Aye I got quite the surprise...especially when she sat down and started licking clean her paw..all the while staring right at me...as if saying.."go on..just try and chase me out"..lol

lol..its not like a sliding door..lol... its a magnetic lock...and once the flap, flaps back into place the magnet locks again...and when the cat goes near again...the magnets turned off...its really a very simple idea... and very effective I think...though you are right in saying what happens if it loses its tag in a fight...though I am sure they will have backups... but i think its highly unlikely they would lose it in a fight..and if they did..I guess they would have to wait till morning to get in... or meow..very loudly..lol

lol.. well.. Thank you for the visual.. lol.. It seems a bit far stretched for just a wee mite, but I guess it would also be good for security reasons, this sliding locking Catflap...lol.
hee hee
