kitty kat,
see my problem is that I don't really know anyone here with a tattoo.. my only option on that front is asking people randomly while I'm walking down the street, which is not something highly recommended on the streets of San Francisco . So I'm trying to gather as much info as I can online, then plan on talking to a few tattoist locally.
The ones (2) I plan on having done are fairly small.

wiz, ( hope you don't mind if I call you that )
Is it possible to go in with a pre drawn sketch of the tattoo? Or do you have to choose from their designs?

Nicky,
I will definately keep that in mind. Although I can see how child birth can have that effect on a woman's body... growing older does also tend to make things umm... sag and expand of their own accord.. .

As for suggestions... what kind of things do you like? I plan on getting a small celtic knot and a small faery (although my fairy will be a little more complex than anything I have seen out there.. she's pictured perfectly in my head..If only my head could reproduce it on paper, everything would be ok -sigh-) I would definately suggest something that you hold dear, somthing that ten years down the line you won't groan and wish you hadn't done.

I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer my questions. Thanks
