Top of the morning. If the young will inhearet ( I think thats how you spell it.) the world then why are we treated like ignorant slime? In the history of the Earth no one over eighteen has listened to any one under eighteen. But when they hit that magical day then thay are treated like a human. I believe that a person shood be treated like an adult when they act like one. I know quite a few Teens that behave and make better desisions than a lot of the "adults" do. Take the case with the US president. I can think of at least three of my friends that were put in a similar situation and chose not to because they had girlfriends, and one of them came out and ammitted it rather than lie. These are just the ramblings of a very frustrated minor with only two monthes to go and still is not allowed to decide what hes going to eat for supper, let alone anything else that has an effect on his life. Edward, you're kind of young to be up this late are'nt you?
(*kidding, kidding*) ![]() It doesn't seem that long ago I felt exactly the same way as you describe, (...uh...I think it was during the Paleolithic period...) All teasing aside, welcome aboard. Your opinion really does matter here, the people are great and we look forward to hearing more from you. ------------------ Di (aka ^..^ ~ Willy) |

Hi Sahara. The little phrase I use as my signature is taken from the Robert Burns poem "Is There For Honest Poverty", aka "A Man's A Man For A' That". It goes like this...
Is there for honest poverty That hings his head, an' a' that? The coward slave, we pass him by- We dare be poor for a' that! For a' that an' a' that, Our toils obscure, an' a' that, The rank is but the guinea's stamp, The man's the gowd for a' that. What though on hamely fare we dine, Wear hoddin grey, an' a' that? Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine- A man's a man for a' that. For a' that an' a' that, Their tinsel show, an' a' that, The honest man, tho' e'er sae poor, Is king o' men for a' that. Ye see yon birkie ca'd 'a lord,' Wha struts an' stares an' a' that? Tho' hundreds worship at his word, He's but a cuif for a' that. For a' that an' a' that, His ribband, star, an' a' that, The man o' independent mind, He looks an' laughs at a' that. A prince can mak a belted knight, A marquis, duke, an' a' that! But an honest man's aboon his might- Guid faith, he mauna fa' that! For a' that, an a' that, Their dignities, an' a' that, The pith o' sense an' pride o' worth Are higher rank than a' that. Then let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that) That Sense and Worth o'er a' the earth Shall bear the gree an' a' that! For a' that, an a' that, It's comin' yet for a' that, That man to man the world o'er Shall brithers be for a' that. It basically means don't be taken in by glitz and razzamatazz but think for yourself because an honest man is worth more than all the fools in the world put together. Oh, and I'm a young 42 years old. ------------------ The man o' independent mind, He looks and laughs at a' that. |
