Phil darlin, are you even listening to what we're telling you? I don't have any experience with someone in a "hospital," but I think we've all had experience with a relationship that is going no where. And your relationship with her is a big ZERO. Anguish is not love.
Ask yourself what advice you would give to a friend, if he came to you and told you what you've told us. You would tell him the same kind of things we've been telling you. She's not worth it.

Dear Phil...
i understand your feelings...i too loved someone very much...so much i was to five up my home in the states to be in scotland with him...last week as he boared a plane to come to see me...he collapsed...and died last wednesday...i never had the chance to hold him...to smell his colone...to look into his eyes and see a reflection of my own love for him..we were to be married in scotland on aug 1 st...now all i have are dream chats...and some phone calls...so many plans down the tubes..so many ideas and dreams unfulfilled...so if you love her truly...and she you...go after her with avengence...hold on to her...if the feelings are not mutual...then let her go..you are only hurting yourself...there are many ladies looking for just the right guy...i am sure you will fit someones bill as the perfect mate...

i agree with you kim. on behalf of phil as his friend, i am happy to say they are no longer together. he does care about what happens to her, but that is it. i am so sorry for your loss kim. take care.

Yes, get over the girl! There are other fish in the sea, yadayadayada. I may only be a little kid (well, 14) and I know that many loves will go through your life! In the first place, why were you romantically involved with someone in a mental hospital?!?

When he started to date her she wasn't in a mental hospital. she has done the things he has said here just to get his attention. Unfortunaly she has only hurt herself. as of to date he has not heard from her. i will ask him later for you though. He is a caring person and i guess he misjugded her. we have all done that at one point haven't we. but he is fine now. he will be glad that so many people responded to this to give there advice. he is a very kind hearted lad.

Eve...you seem to know him pretty well...you are a good friend to defend him and his actions..friends...true friends are very hard to come by...he is a lucky man..hope he knows it..
