Willy , no I've never been to Scotland . I do read alot though and one day I will be going there , if it kills me , he he he . I live in South Carolina , and we have Scottish festivals here every year . Love em' ! Anita

I live in Texas and we have a renasance festival every year. This year I wanted to try keg tossing, but the contest was already full so I could only watch. I also play the bagpipes, but I need alot more practice.

Gamble, MacChile is a Scottish Gentleman on this site living in the States & he plays the bagpipes and does some teaching also. Occasionally he will check into "Mick's Pub" (under Scotland*C*Mom*Inn) but you may enjoy chatting with him sometime.

Thanks for the info on MacChile, I wen't into Mick's pub but didn't see his name. I've tried to find other pipers in my area but am not having much success. What hobbies do you have, I enjoy to play rugby and almost died when New Zealand beat scotland in the semifinals last month.

Oooh! Mick is on his third Pub now (after 200+ posts they start taking a really long time to load!) So MacChile is probably in the "Revenge of Homer" version. (this is really starting to scare me that I am recalling so much trivial data.....)
Anyway, he's great & he knows of reputable dealers for chanters & clothing, etc.
So you play Rugby? You will have to fill us in on how you developed a love for the game in the States?
