Information on finding birth parents

My name is Kathleen McCandless born in Glasgow on 10/10/1935.

I am trying to find my birth parents and would like any help that you can give me. My details are as follows.

Adopted parents:
Margaret Brackenridge (mother)
Fancis McCandless (father)

My birth parents names are:
Catherine Boyd
Thomas Coyne

They were living at Spittal Hill Farm, Kalmarnock when I was born. Any help in finding them or any information would be greatly appreciated.

Also any information on how I can search for this type of information on the internet would also be appreciated.
