McGinty, McInaw Where are These Places

I just recently learned that my family comes from Balintrye and were married at Kilmarnock by the Rev. FR.Smith.When I search for these are other place like Ayr Co. @ Glenlogan, Scot. and Renfrewshire, Scot.I can't find anything on these places. another is Dornconner in the Co of Ayr. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to go to do some searching on these places.

Are you sure it isn't Blantyre your family come from, I stay in Renfrewshire and can't find Balintrye anywhere. If you go to http://www.yahoo.co.uk and enter Renfrewshire,or Ayr or Blantyre and specify a U.K. only search you will get plenty of info.
