Hi, Edgar. I'm originally from Batavia, New York (between Buffalo and Rochester in the western part of the state). I'm in Tucson, Arizona now. What part of New York are you in? - Diane

Do you like it in Arizona? I went there once but I was too young to like it. Do you know about NAU? I was thinking of going there for the astronomy program.

Hi, Zeke. NAU is up in Flagstaff just north of Phoenix. Tucson has the University of Arizona (the Arizona Wildcats). I took an Astronomy class there and it was excellent. The U of A is involved with a lot of NASA projects. Kitt Peak is just west of here and is one of the observatories that is monitoring for asteroid/comet impact on Earth. The weather is so good some people claim it's boring! The U of A's webcam is at http://www.cs.arizona.edu/scout/suncam.html and looks north to northwest towards the Catalina Mountains. As far as being relative to Scotland, I'm finding a whole lot of Scottish people have moved here and am going to my first Scottish Highlands Games here on Nov. 6th http://tucson.com/TCFA/index.htm . One of the girls I worked with went to NAU for a while and it is beautiful up there - but get ready for snow! They had the Winter Olympics in Flagstaff (believe it or not!) one year! - Diane

Oh, yes. I believe that there is snow in Arizona, for I have a friend that used to live there and go to NAU. I've travelled through Arizona when I went on a Grand Canyon trip. Is the weather boring for you?

Do you know a lot of people from Scotland in amerika? I went to Scotland in the summer of 98 and it was really cool. I will be going back there this december and hopefully next summer as well.
