Hi, FJORD4. Did you want a "lives in Scotland" or a "sure wish I lived in Scotland" pen pal? - Diane
P.S. I'm a computer operator in Tucson.

I would love to be your penpal, Dianne. Tell me what you do in the computer field. I am a Networking Engineer, myself. Gotta get back to class. I hope to hear from you soon

Hey, Mike! I'm the computer operator for an engineering company that develops automobile emissions testing programs for the States and some overseas. I've got an Associates in Programming and wrote some code for where I work in MACRO and Visual Basic. It's fun and it gives me a lot of time to be on the Net (I'm on the Net to look up troubleshooting advice and download patches, etc.). I just about live at work (!) but I enjoy it. Networking is the area I'm still trying to get more expertise in! Although I've had previous experience with IBM and some other equipment, the current repertoire consists mostly of DEC Alphas, VAXs, and Windows 95/98/NT PCs. Sounds geek-ish but I'm actually not. I got into this field because I enjoy languages and programming is just another language, so here I am. Believe me, I spin some of the Engineers' heads around here alot! I can usually make even the most stoic Engineer laugh! Enough of me! What does your job entail and what class were you running off to? As I seem to "live" here I'll check back in a little while! - Diane

Hey, can I play too? I'm an artist. I make all kinds of nice stepping stones for the garden. I'm not very good on the computer though. (Diane, I have to keep looking at my cheat sheet to make these faces.) Not from Scotland either, but I'm a wannabe, does that count? I live in Atlanta, where do you live? Bye for now, check out my suggestion for a music board and vote. Oh, do you wear a kilt and play the pipes? Very important....(tell yu later)

Ainslee,

I do wear a kilt, at times but I am terrible at the pipes. I sound like a bleating cow! Anyway, I would love to be your penpal. I live in Alexandria Virginia and I work in Springfield. I gotta run off to class. Talk to you soon.

Mike
