Hey, Mike! I'm the computer operator for an engineering company that develops automobile emissions testing programs for the States and some overseas. I've got an Associates in Programming and wrote some code for where I work in MACRO and Visual Basic. It's fun and it gives me a lot of time to be on the Net (I'm on the Net to look up troubleshooting advice and download patches, etc.). I just about live at work (!) but I enjoy it. Networking is the area I'm still trying to get more expertise in! Although I've had previous experience with IBM and some other equipment, the current repertoire consists mostly of DEC Alphas, VAXs, and Windows 95/98/NT PCs. Sounds geek-ish but I'm actually not. I got into this field because I enjoy languages and programming is just another language, so here I am. Believe me, I spin some of the Engineers' heads around here alot! I can usually make even the most stoic Engineer laugh! Enough of me! What does your job entail and what class were you running off to?
