On February 12, 1993 a small boy who was to turn three in March was taken from a
shopping mall in Liverpool by two 10 year old boys.
JamieBulger walked away from his mother for only a second and Jon Venables took
his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took
Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now
and again to torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his
mommy. Finally they
stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him and threw stones at
him and rubbed paint in his eyes and pushed batteries up his anus. They then
left his small beaten body on the tracks so a train could run him over to hide
the mess they had created.
These two boys, even being boys understood what they did was wrong, hence trying
to make it look like an accident. Jamie was two years old !

This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys anonymity for the
rest of their lives when they leave custody, with new identities. We cannot let
this happen. They will also leave early thisyear, only serving just over half of
their sentence. One paper even stated that Robert may go onto a University.

They are getting away with their crime. They need to pay, and we have to do
something to make them pay for their horrific crime. They took little Jamie's
life violently away , and in return they get a new life ?!

does too, Let's make a difference that's important , remember Jamie ?
We need to protect our loved ones from creatures like Robert and Jon.
One day they may be living next to you and your small children without your
knowledge. If Robert and Jon can be SO EVIL at 10 , imagine what they can do as
adults

I live in Auckland New Zealand and received this today and happened to be the 700th recipient. Feeling strongly about these case I forwarded the petition on as requested to Justice Lady Scloss but the email you gave for her was returned by the postmaster as invalid. However, I did forward the message on to 20 people in my address book, but want you to know that sending it Lady Scloss at the given email address does not work. Can you help?

This thread is very old.

Lady Butler Sloss has retired but is still chairing reviews etc. She WAS appointed to the enquiry into the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, but stood down before the enquiry was opened.

I suspect that the email addy you have was closed when she left her previous post.

I also suggest you read up on the rulings etc - the rulings were put into effect quite a few years ago.

Thank you Polwarth - methinks we are a wee bit out of date down here, but many Antipodeans obviously feel strongly about this case and it would be good to know that someone in 'authority' may listen to our views. So we will continue with the petition but will obviously have to find another recipient if Lady Scloss has retired. Your reply is much appreciated.

And the option is ?

Yes, leave them open to the vigilantes - and lower yourselves to their (immature) levels.

Thankfully, your petition is years too late (not that it would have affected the outcome in any event).
