BPC was defeated in the Jacobite Rebellion he led in the 1700s. 'Prince Charles' is the son of the present monarch.

You are totally confusing me.

Maggie

I meant a let down as a leader of the rebellion. (or do you mean the present Prince Charles?)

American Scots

I joined this thread today, and read two comments on why do Americans want to know about Scotland.

Quite possibly it is because our ancestors came from Scotland. I thought I might like to trace my family tree.

If all scotsmen are as nasty as the two comments I read, I am not sure I want to find out anything.

I do know that I have some cousins by marriage living in the UK, and I do know that I am associated with the MacDonald Clan, and would like to get more info.

I am afraid to ask any questions now, and don't believe I will BOTHER you any longer.

It is a shame that people have to be that way.

Geez get a sense of humour. I know that my reply was meant in a light hearted manner as I found the original post very amusing (as it was meant to be). You need to lighten up and if that's the best you can post then maybe you shouldn't bother.

Hi Hutch and welcome to the site.

I have read the thread a few times and I can't see where the posters are being nasty...they
pointed out that BPC and Prince Charles are not the same person...a point made by Maggie
was that she acknowledged that she misread the post.

Polwarth even winked in her reply...yes her...a ScotsWoman...not a man

Ask your questions and don't be afraid to as the Scots in here don't bite...they
may knaw at you but rabies is not allowed in the site so you will be safe

My sense of humour is a rare one and in time you will get to know everyone elses !!

So join in the light hearted banter that often appears in many posts !!

Gag! There are so many better things to do!

Personally, I think it's the shortbread!
