Wink American girl (51), love to meet Scottish man!

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.. have been here 2 yrs, previously from California (miss the ocean!). I've traced my lineage as far as the records go in Scotland, from Grandmother who was born in Glasgow, back several gens to GGrandfather x 7 in the Orkney Islands. That's all probably a bit boring to a Scot man (ha!), but anyway... I'm an attractive blue-eyed blonde, 51, 5'5"... I try to keep in shape, walk a lot, go to the gym for weights, but I'm not the stick-thin type. I love cooking, gardening, travel, dining out, art, reading, camping, exploring, hiking, nature, interested in plants and their nutritional/medicinal properties... I'm spiritual but not specific, love all kinds of music (jazz, pop, celtic, classical, new age, rock)...

I'd love to meet a Scottish man, love the accent!! I know "long distance" is an understatement but what the heck! You never know! Maybe you're soulmate is across the ocean! I'd like to meet an easy-going man, with a sense of humor, not to crusty or set in their ways! Someone fun and kind, who can do nice restaurants, as well as funky hole-in-the-wall places, as well as cooking over the campfire. Someone who's experienced lifes ups and downs, has loved and hurt, and now can appreciate the little (big) things, a touch, a smile, a pat on the patooty . Someone who's dealt with his "issues" (someone able to self-reflect, not prone to denial). Someone who looks for the joy and pleasure in life!

I guess that's enough for now. If you're interested, I'd love to hear from some Scotty men! I have a profile on this site with a pic.

Khamren

I was sorely tempted to comment sarcastically that "Scotty" generally refers to dugs, not people.

But I refrained.

Just as I refrained from thinking that anyone aged 51 who refers to herself as a 'girl' is an oddity

Is it an American disease, this obsession with "issues" and endless anal-retentive self-analysis?

Some of us just get on with life.

See, we still think alike and glean the same perceptions of posters!
