My cousin, Billy, had some of that turf... planted it in the back gairden.... then refused to move hoose an leave the turf... He didn't think it would survive another move - no matter HOW many of us explained the principles of lawns renewing themselves and that the grass he has was no longer Wembley turf! And yes, he's still in that hoose!

That particular bit of turf ended up planted in the back garden of a tenement in Erskine Street...

PS Billy also has a sliver of wood from the broken goalpost. My cousin, the vandal!

It grew extremely well. Stood out from the surrounding grass for a good couple of years, until it "integrated" with the local sward...
