Is romance dead?

i visited a discussion board recently and could not believe what i was hearing out of the mouths of people supposedly looking to find someone. They were just so jaded about people and life in general its amazing if they ever got a date. It really got me wondering if they represented general attitudes or if it was just a fluke of that website. So what do you think? Is romance dead?

Or let me ask you this. If you, today, have someone you like or hypothetically met someone you liked, what would you do? Would you:

a) Do nothing because you figure they surely wouldn't like you, too.

b) Do nothing because you figure there HAS to be something wrong with them, you just wouldn't know what it is yet and you'd rather not know what it is.

c) Ask them out or flirt with them... cautiously.

d) Ask them out or flirt with them without reservation.

e) Flirt with them, use them, and then treat them badly before they can rip your heart out. (lol)

f).... you tell me if there is something else you'd do.

I am a mix of

c) Ask them out or flirt with them... cautiously.

d) Ask them out or flirt with them without reservation.

Because although I have been hurt in the past it has nothing to do with the future I am open to any possibility. I like to be a bit catious not because I am afraid of getting hurt again but I'd rather not get a phyco either. ( I only talked to this kid like three times and he is still hounding me two years later!)
But no I do not believe it's dead. Just yesturday I got butterflys from this gorgeous kid at the mall(I rarley get them cause I am picky) and I wasn't afriad to let it show that I thought he was hot cuase I caught him checking me out to. Only problem....I was with my mom and grandmother goooood luck getting a date that way. They both would of hit on him before I could of had a chance becuase they think doing that to me is fuuuuny! I know..They've done it before...
But no as for my opinion on romance I believe it is not dead.
Which is a good thing cause I'm young and still need to get laid. LOL no I am just kidding lol well no I'm not but let me end this now so I don't dig myself in any further lol kk ttul

Yes, i know. What can we do about that, druid?

And Fuathas and Bernaidette i don't know you very well... but Celyn! For shame!!! You are so well LIKED! I can't believe that you would respond that way! You think they won't like you. How ridiculous. How can your self-perception be so distorted? I bet it's the same with Fuathas and Bernaidette, too!

What's worse i bet some of the people you "do nothing" about are also A's... wishing about you but too afraid of rejection to ask. Put them out of their misery. ASK.

Well you know what we have to do with A's, don't you?

...the same thing my friend did with me when i expressed self-doubt....

...he dared me!

So. I have to phone a certain someone... i plan to do it on my birthday... the 28th this month. God help me, i'm scared to death to do it, but a dare is serious business!

So... A's!... who are you thinking of? Surely there is someone now.

Have you got the courage to post again? I know you do, Celyn... ure a pirat. Talk ur i'll make ye walk de plank!
