Hi there,
I am a twenty year old student from Texas who is coming to strathclyde all next year to study in biology (immunology). I was wanting to talk to people around my age, females and males from the area, especially if there are any students on here from strathclyde. Also, I was wondering a few things.
How difficult is it to be a vegetarian in Glasgow/Scotland?
What are the styles like in comparison to the US? (I make my own clothing and just bought a bunch of fabric to rev up for my trip over there!)
What's the music scene like (personally I'm partial to more classical forms of music since I've played the flute since I was little, but also how is the club/pub music)
What's the dating scene like?, more guys than girls, more girls than guys?
Where are the fun, not so touristy places to go?
and anything else ya'll would find interesting

Hello, and welcome to Scotland.com.

Vegetarian should be no problem at all.

Classical music - yes, and I am led to believe there are lots of clubs etc.

Fashions and styles? I am not the right person to ask.

Hello
You'd probably get more answers if you posted your questions in the 'Moving' section on here. Lots of americans have made the trip - and if you scroll through lots of the threads, there is a lot of relevant information for you.

As vegetarianism gained popularity in the UK before the USA, you are sure to find lots of vegetarian eating places. Most pubs have at least 2 or 3 veggie alternatives on their menus.
