I once spent 17 hours in a windowless conference room filed with attorneys and underwriters...IN NEW YORK CITY!

I have never been so god blessed tired in all my life!

It was a horrific trip...last minute.

Anyway, when I woke up the next morning, I decided to see why my hotel room butted up to a "parking lot." I looked out the window...then up --- and up and up and damn, girl, I could not see the top of the building next to me!

It wasn't a "parking lot" I thought I saw in the darkness. It was a promenade. And the building? It was one of the twin towers.

Ever watch the American cop shows...the ones located in New York? Well, what always bothered the hell out of me was the constant backround noise of two things:

JACKHAMMERS and SIRENS.

Well, let me tell you, THAT GOES ON ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT!

Jackhammers and sirens!

I got such a rotten case of cabin fever, I took a walk at 3:30 in the morning. I just HAD to get out of that conference room!

Anyway, that city never goes to sleep. People were up delivering take out.

It's a crazy place and one I'd like NOT to revisit. Bless them...but I don't like the city.
