I am a 40-something and looking for a new adventure. My youngest daughter will be graduating soon and my dream goal has been to find a job in Scotland for a month or so (or longer...) I can pretty much do anything from bartending to investment banking, so there must be someplace I can work/live/play over there.

I'm not "looking for love in all the wrong places", so no worries there. I am, however, in search of this experience while I am still young enough to enjoy it to the fullest. My motto in life is "you don't stop playing when you get older...you get older when you stop playing."

Any advice on how I can achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

let's all go!

Sure, we can all go! I just need to find someone to sponsor my adventure who is interested in hiring a "no-way, doesn't look her age, young at heart, loves to play, can bring life and a touch of class to any work place" woman! I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and have a home with all the entrapping bills. If I could find a bar/pub/restaurant/office/etc. to work in, I think I could manage to hold the fort down on both sides of the Atlantic.

Let's put our heads together!

Hi there Susan-Kay, what a fun dream! You might try posting in the Moving Forum. There are also mant posts there regarding moving and working in Scotland.

When my youngest graduated, I took her to Europe, we had a week in Scotland and it was fab!

thank you!

for the tip on the moving site. Today was my first day *ever* here, so I don't really know my way around yet.
