I just thouhgt about that darn day that sometimes always makes me think that I'm not complete, or, even worse - wrong in my views for life and I thought I should make my mood better. So, all you single folk, let me know what is it that you value about being single most? I'll start:
1. you don't have to remember about dates: birthdays, anniversaries, important days of all sorts... ...my memory is quite bad, so that IS a problem for me... Give me your reasons ![]()

That day???
I take it you mean Valentine's day. Its not that bad for some of us single people. I usually go out with my other unattached friends
.As for me, the best thing about being single is that I have no one to answer to. No boyfriend or husband to have to tell where I'm going, who I'm going to meet, and when I'll be back. The other thing is that I don't have any children, (yet that is) so there is no one I have to be responsible for other than myself. Dee |

... see I knew it. I am the only one, except Dennisse, who can actually enjoy singleness... Here's another thing that makes being single fun:
I can shave my legs once a week!! AND I don't have to control my laughter in the movies. and my laugh is sometimes scary when I'm at the cinema...

Best thing is that I can wake up on a Sunday at 5am and just walk around in my dressing gown until midday, then sleep until 6 with the television on... and nobody to moan at me.
I do however have to remember dates: My friends are usually quite annoyed when I, who has nothing else to remember, forget their birthdays or those of any of their kids. I wish I had unattached friends to drink away V-day :-(

I too enjoy being single... and to be honest its been so long I can barely even remember what it was like to be living with someone... I couldnt give up the freedom I have now for anyone.. which is a surprise to me .. but when I think back to what it was like towards the end I shudder..lol.. no thankyou very much... I prefer life without having to save up for a better kitchen or a fancy holiday, to do what and when I want is also a blessing, like many have said here already..not having that ball and chain is just much easier.. especially now at my age.. most women are getting broody... Yuck! my little sister had a baby 5 months ago.. I have never really been around a baby before ...the next youngest member of my family is 26 so I cant ever remember being around babies..but I tell you seeing julie with hers... I know for a fact ..I dont want one...lol.. I am way to selfish for all that hassle.. and not just while they are babies..lol..it goes on for years to come... nah keep your babies and yer broody women, your fantastic kitchen convertions and bigger houses for extra rooms.. plus its more fun to only know someone for a few days or weeks.. keeps it exciting.. keeps the mystery..
