Well, the kilt issue was a matter of some discussion during the preparations for our wedding.

My fiance has decided to be a 'true Scotsman' (as he puts it) and not wear anything underneath. For a february wedding, this is a brave move! We can only pray for a gust of well-timed wind to give my mother an eye-full!

I will be wearing a simple sleeveless sheath dress, so we'll be freezing together. The ceremony will be in a 15th century church, and they've got to turn on the heat 3 days before the wedding, just to make it 'tolerable'! Brr!

Serves us right for having a winter wedding! I'm moving next wednesday, so I've got a bit of time to acclimate to the harsh northern winter before having to don my scanty wedding dress.

My fiance plays rugby, and is out in the cold 4 days a week with his bare legs, so he's used to it. I'm sure the updraft will keep him shivering a bit. I just hope it doesn't do permanent damage to anything that might be required later in the honeymoon suite!

I haven't missed one single show in this new series! Archie was offered a chance to work at a resteraunt in New York, but a bomb went off in the cellar of the manor, and he decided to stay behind. Kilwillie went off to New York instead. Oooh, and that hunky Paul is back! He and Archie have struck up a business together! (I just love that Paul!) I've heard that Future episodes will be springing up a romance between Duncan and Jess (Golly's daughter)! I'm a real sucker for romance and absolutely love that show! (sigh)

LOL! ha-ha-hee-hee! Lucky you! The only time I got an "eyeful" was at a highland festival here in the states, and the kilt that blew up belonged to an 80-something old geezer! Ha-Ha! It reminded me of a book I read in elementary school about a saggy-baggy-elephant! LOL! Truelly was NOT a pretty site! hee-hee!

Wink A friend of mine

worked as an assistant director on Monarch of the Glen. It is filmed on an estate in Perthshire. I thought the first series was better than the present one, my friend says thet the scriptwriters are struggling to come up with fresh ideas.

On the wedding front i am getting married in September at Culcreuch Castle. (www.culcreuch.co.uk)and then jetting off for two weeks in mauritius. I cannae wait, it will be the start of the rest of my life.

Cool Way to cool!

Hi Marti!
That is way to cool that you worked on the set of Monarch of the Glenn. I never got to see the 1st series. The only way to get BBC America is by satellite, and I only hooked up to it this past Fall. How long did you work with them? I'm glad to find out where it's filmed. Next time I watch it I'll pay extra attention to the scenery. Here in the states a movie may be set in Miami, but still filmed in LA, so I'm never sure if the scenery is the actual thing. Thanks for the info!
Good luck with your wedding! It's sounds like a beautiful place to get married! 'Course, never having seen a castle myself, I'm completely fascinated with them!
