Mistress -- it is likely, indeed, a kilt-wearing, Scottish-accent-speaking man! In the USA, they are so few and far between--what a loss of culture the Scottish Americans suffer. Here, we see kilts once a year for one day. There are Scottish games and bagpipers, too--but, as I said--for one day once a year.

we dont wear kilts over here either, unless for special occasions or sporting events. We do have the accent on all the time however!

I thought I'd add a little something....

It's a sad fact, but you stop hearing the accent after awhile. I've been with my fiance for 2 years, and I don't even hear his accent anymore. It takes other people saying 'Wow, he has such an incredible accent!' to make me notice it! And I've only seen him wear his kilt once in 2 years!

So there better be alot more there than an attraction to accents and kilts if you want a sustainable relationship!

Although admittedly, seeing him in his kilt just that once was enough to make me forgive the fact that his feet smell and he farts in bed!

LOL! LOL! LOL!

I was wondering if Scottish men had any more manners than American men, but I guess that pretty much answers that question. I guess I've been watching to much "Monarch of the Glenn" and hoping that Scotsmen were a bit more gentlemanly than here in the U.S.

Really, though, I know what you mean about not noticing the accents after some time. I was married to an Irishman for 7 years and didn't even think of him having an accent. Unfortunately, to many other women here found it quite a turn on.....eh, hem (no more said there).

I suppose all us women are hoping for the same thing....a little excitement, romance, and a musical voice that melts our hearts and curls our toes. And, somehow the grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence...or ocean as it may be. And, of 'course, there's always the mystery of what really is beneath them kilts!

Well, the kilt issue was a matter of some discussion during the preparations for our wedding.

My fiance has decided to be a 'true Scotsman' (as he puts it) and not wear anything underneath. For a february wedding, this is a brave move! We can only pray for a gust of well-timed wind to give my mother an eye-full!
