We always fly the flag and shout it out loud.

We've got the Welsh to the left and Scottish up above,
Neither of them give the English any love.

The way they moan and groan is a total disgrace,
They can't forget the times we used to smash them in the face.

Now that's all in the past, but they like it to last,
Let's hope we gain independence and get rid fast.

England started off as the promised land,
Then the UK and the Empire which got out of hand.

Now the Empire has gone and dissolved away,
And the UK is also heading that way.

So it's back to England and the promised land,
Let's make it happen and give it a hand.

Dutch police arrest 87 English fans

The violence preceded the Newcastle United match
Dutch police have arrested more than 80 Newcastle United fans after violence broke out before the team's Uefa Cup match.
Football fans clashed in the town of Breda in Holland in an area packed with bars and discos before the game against NAC Breda on Wednesday, said police.

Inspector Willem Van Hoedenck, of the local police, told BBC Radio 5 Live there had been about 94 arrests, of which 87 were English fans.
