Ever since I was a little girl, something about them... the lilt of their speech, their energies, their kilts, hair.... wow. I had the incredible fortune to meet a Scottish guy at a summercamp where I worked a few summers ago, and I was completely enamored with the guy.

I always tell my friends 'some day, I'm going to Scotland. I plan to find my husband in Scotland, you know.' It's only a joke, but I can hope, right? (of course, I'll always get to know people on a person by person basis... Scottish men just have a leg up in my mind. ^_^')

Anyone know what I mean/think I'm TOTALLY off my rocker?

No neko, I don't think your completely off your rocker!! I'm a Scottish male, 26, and having worked on both the east and west coasts of the US I can say the US/Scottish relationship thing works really well. I met so many great people and plan to get back to the US on a permenant basis in the next few years, I then plan to marry an American girl. I think it must be the accent and the way they live their lifes that appeals....

I totally agree with Talisen! I've never heard the accent in real but when I hear for example Billy Boyd or other scottish actors (that's my only link :/) I just love their accents:] but I think there is something more... but well... can;t say what it is ... just feel it:]

Talking

Cunningi,
Haha... well maybe you and I are quite a pare, eh? ^_~ I can hope, anyway.

Even if I AM off my rocker, it's definately a rocker that I don't intend to get back on any time soon.

You know... I've always wondered: what does the American accent sound like to an outsider? Is it generally appealing?
