Well, english is not my first language, so I might hear the accents differently, not as finely tuned in as a native speaker...and the american accents - there are so many! Sometimes american accents can be a bit nasal, but I like the energy of the american accents in general. It sounds very outgoing and friendly. And I especially like the southern accents - there is something lush and exotic about it. Louisiana, Georgia...southern women sound so sexy - I wish I could speak like that! My swedish accent is kind of silly...to me at least. But Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman managed to uphold an air of mystique despitetheir accents, so...

Good luck with your marrige plans! I guess there are plenty of scotsmen to go around...

I'm sure your swedish accent isn't silly! Infact if I would tell my friend that I'm talking to a swedish guy right she probably go mad. She loves Sweden and wants to marry a swedish man...
But back to the subject. I know what you mean about accents. Since I'm half german half native speaker I can keep the different accents apart quite good, but most of the people here in Germany can't decide whether it's a scottish, irish or english accent. I just think it's sad that they can't hear the difference, but I think it's understandable.
