You know... I've always wondered: what does the American accent sound like to an outsider? Is it generally appealing?

When an American accent is hitched to a six foot blonde and is saying intelligent things.....bliss......the Fargo accent that sounds 'special needs' and says unintelligible things at high decibels with inflections in all the wrong places á la Sarah Palin......um....makes you want to gouge out your own ear drums
