Looking for my friend

I am looking for my friend Rose Kane who I have not seen since 1985. We all worked together and Rose used to live in Gilmerton.

Can't help, sorry. Am I right in thinking that Gilmerton is in the Edinburgh area? I don't know whether the local newspaper runs a sort of "looking for lost friends" column, but it might do. For Edinburgh, this would be the paper called the "Evening News" I think, although I may be wrong. Also, I think that the "Daily Record" (a sort of nationwide tabloid newspaper) does such a thing. I don't have have a link but a quick search for Daily Record and/or Sunday Mail might find you one.
