Smile Clinkscales of Burntisland, Fife

My Great Grandmother, Wilhelmina Clinkscales came from Burntisland, Fife.
She died in Auckland, New Zealand in 1923 aged 84 years.Married Thomas Allan.
Her mothers name was Annie and lived in Back St. Burntisland according to the 1841 census. She had 2 other daughters, Margaret & Elizabeth.

Is there any other Clinkscales who may be related, if so I would love to hear from you. Please email me, jammy40@tpg.com.au

Cheers

Allan Jameson

The name Clinkscales rings a bell, but not necessarily associated with Burntisland.

Wasn't there a musical association in Scotland, Clinkscales either being sheet music publishers, selling musical instruments etc ? That name is rattling round inside my head and there's a definite connection with Scottish dance music.
