Kimberly?

I am aware this is going to be a tough one.

I am not quite sure about the year, but it must have been around 1995. My family and I were at the seashore at " Drujba " resort in Bulgaria ( I am from Bulgaria; " Drujba " was the name then - now it is renamed to " Saint Konstantin and Elena " ). My mum speaks English and at the time, there were two Scottish ladies who asked her, if they could sit on the same table, because there were no other free places ( we were in a restaurant ). They came from Edinburgh and had a young girl with them named Kimberly. One of the ladies, as far as I remember, was her mum and the other one - her auntie. Kimberly must have been around 11 - 12 I suppose. She had a mouse toy and she wanted to show me how it automatically starts walking, but she could not yet she tried on the grass ( I know..sounds weird ). We could not really talk, since at that age I could not understand or speak any English. Some months after we received a post card from them. I would ask my mum again to look for it, but the problem is that we did not keep the envelope, so I do not know the exact address from which they had sent it.

I would like to maybe find her and keep in touch!

Thanks in advance!

Sisi

Hello
I suspect that unless Kimberly or her mother/aunt spot this, your chances of finding any of them (especially without a surname!) are practically nil.

Yes, I know! Tonight when I talk with mum, I will ask her, if she by any chance remembers their surname! Maybe, if I have this, people here might be more able to help me..somehow! Thanks for your reply, though!

A very small update

Hey...everyone!

I am still searching for Kimberly however hard it seems to be.

As I am home now, I found the postcard that was sent to us and the mum of Kimberly is called Hilary..No surname, though, sadly enough! It is a Christmas card wishing us Happy Christmas and all the best in 1993...which makes me think we met earlier than 1995, namely 1992. I was 5 at them time ( 1992 ) or 6 ( 1993 ).

Isn't there a possibility to search by first names only in some sort of a database? Here, in Bulgaria it is possible to get such info only by first name and knowing the possible year of birth it might not be so many people bearing the same name..Kimberly, at the time, was a little older than me. She must have been around 8 - 9 I suppose. Firstly, I thought it was me being that age and her being 12, but now I start thinking she was younger herself.

Thanks a lot again!

Greets,

Siya

I've never heard of being able to do a search by a forename only.

Sorry, but as I said, unless Kimberley or her mum or aunt read this - or someone who knows a Kimberley with a mum called Hilary.... well, I'm sure you get my drift.

I also think you should be aware that there are only a small minority of the members on here who are Scottish - most are Americans, who would have no clue of how to track your acquaintances!
