I am trying to locate COLIN NUTTER - resident in the Dumbarton / Alexandria region during the mid / late 1970s associated with the Hendry Family. Age now approx mid 40s any info gratefully received Friends Reunited has let me down.........

How can Friends Reunited possibly have let you down? If Mr Nutter hasn't registered with that site then its not their fault is it? Try looking up the BT phone book - I'm sure someone placed a link to their site somewhere - but if the person in question isn't listed then it could be his own choice so try not to blame them for lack of information! thanks for your words of inspiration - why didnt I think of that.........or even the dozen other avenues of search that i've tried FYI friends reunited also has a ' looking for ' section which has helped me narrow the search

oh, and FYI, I know what Friends Reunited has to help you find people, but if those people don't want to be found then its more or less useless and you're left to relying on helpful people like me
