Edward Hunter Mcdonald (Fleeting)

Hi there, im hoping that you folks of Scotland can help me in my search for Edward (Eddie) H McDonald birth name Edward Hunter Fleeting born in Glasgow Dec 1958. Edwards father (also Edward Hunter Fleeting) was residing @ 389 Peat Road Glasgow at the time of his marriage to Edwards mum, Jane Steven, they married 12 August 1955, Pollock, Glasgow. Eddie Jnr was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery in the late 70's, based in S****horpe (Kirton) but often posted to Hereford (Pontrillas) where he met & married Tracy. I believe Edward came back to Scotland when he left the army in 1984, as he had around thirteen brothers and sisters in the area, not sure where he would have settled. Maybe you know of the Fleetings? Edward is the father of my partner Lee Fleeting born 1980. Lee hasn’t had any contact with his father since his parents divorced when Lee was a small child and would dearly love to know him.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, well done, Babzii-lady! I had almost forgotten how the dimwitted censor-bot hates the name of your erstwhile home-town. Idiot thing!

muzzyduz - welcome, and I am sorry that I don't know a way to help you in your quest, but you will get there, surely. Tracing people seems never to be straightforward but amazingly good when it works .

And as for working out “what the problem was”, heavens, not only does the Scotland.com censor bot have a hatred for certain towns, it also does not approve of people who keep, as pets, p u s s y cats, or even people who feel moved to laugh and s n i g ig e r at such weirdness.
