Daniel Martin Murray, are you there

I know it`s a long shot but I`ve been try to find my father Daniel Martin Murray for several years now. He was in the amred forces late 50` & 60`s based for quite a while in Singapore. He and my mother divorced when I was basically still a baby and he was awarded custody as she caused the break with her palying the field. As he was posted oversees I was put in the care of my aunt & uncle Jack & Margaret Burnett and brought up in Toryglen Glasgow. The last time I saw him was in 1966 when I was 8 when called on the premise of visiting Jack & Margaret before he went oversees again but it was really to see me and which was to be the last time we seen each other.

I`m married with 2 sons and I`ve this burning urge that I must find before it`s too late therefore, any information, however trivial will be most gratefully welcomed.

Thanks
Alex

I know I remember other members posting similar questions and getting some kind of suggestions. Damned if I can remember what any of them were, though.

Have a look at this
http://72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:...n&ct=clnk&cd=1
which contains various suggestions for finding missing/lost people. N.B. It specifically says it is for actual people, not long-dead ancestors, and not for cases where the missing person has been adopted elsewhere, so it *might* have some suggestion that could be of use in your case. I hope so.

Thank Og for the internet, eh? Because the whole business of finding someone who might be here, or might be overseas seems enormous enough *with* it, and would still be time-consuming,but it would surely seem well-nigh impossible without it.

Very best of luck.
