G'day from Oz.
I am looking for Jim Lawson, b 1925, who left,Possilpark, Glasgow for Oz aboard the SS Marathon in 1949
His next of kin on his emigration papers was Mr Thomas Lawson, from Possilpark, Glasgow.
Does anyone know where he is now?

Have you tried the Scottish GRO, based in Edinburgh? They do charge for searches, but if you have your questions marshalled before you go online, it shouldn't be too expensive.

I thought about it, but I don't have a credit card, and with the excange rate as it is, it costs a fortune.
Do you think it would help if I posted on here, the names of the people Jim was living with when he left or Oz and the names of the people who he worked for?
