Sorry to bother anyone who continues to see my posted messages, but time is running out. My Father is not well and i am afraid that it will be to late when i do find his daughter and son.

My Father Michael Joe from Conne River served in the Newfoundland Forestry during the war, in Inverness, there he met a young woman Shela or Shelia Brinton, she was 18 and my Father was 21, together they had two children, a boy and girl. My Father is now 86 and his health is failing, i am 43 and am desperately seeking my family to finally close the circle. My Father is an Aboriginal Indian as am i and also his other children.

I am seeking any assistance that can help me unit with my family. During my father's time in Scotland, he was also a boxer and faught a scotish man several times before he won the fight, after which both men became the best of friends, i also believe that my father got in trouble with the law in scotland for fighting.

Any help in finding my family will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Gerard Joe

Hello, Newfoundlander. Oh, that is a touching story. Now, I am sorry to say I cannot help, but I only want to suggest that you try asking by writing to a couple of newspapers in Scotland.

Here is the Inverness Courier - you can submit a letter online

http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/letters.asp

and, since, of course, people do change towns or whatever, you could try the “Daily Record” - a tabloid widely read through the country, so it might be a good one to try - if your father's people don't read it, well, perhaps even some firend of theirs might - you never know.

I really do wish you success.
